Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the sales team to achieve annual sales targets within assigned regions and accounts.
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans, assess costs, and analyze competition.
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, prospects, and professional networks.
  • Analyze sales and operational records to project sales, determine profitability, and identify new markets.
  • Understand customer needs and recommend products or services to meet those needs.
  • Develop marketing programs and promotions to increase sales and introduce new offerings.
  • Collaborate with other managers to set sales goals, monitor progress, and develop customer retention strategies.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and implement training, strategies, and policies to maximize productivity.
  • Stay current with industry trends and competitors to identify improvements and recommend new products.
  • Provide leadership and motivation to the sales team, ensuring quotas are met.
  • Identify the developmental needs of team members and provide coaching or mentoring.
  • Participate in the hiring process and train Merchant Services Consultants.
  • Organize and oversee schedules, territories, and performance of sales employees.
  • Conduct timely and constructive performance evaluations.
  • Schedule and direct regular sales meetings and events to share information and increase morale.
  • Handle employee discipline in accordance with company policy.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 8+ years of experience as a sales director or a VP level.
  • 8-10 years of Merchant Services experience is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of marketing strategy, sales techniques, and sales control systems.
  • Proficiency in business and management principles, strategic planning, and resource allocation.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills in both Spanish and English.
  • Strong sales and customer service skills, with proven negotiation abilities.
  • Advanced math skills for budgeting and data analysis.
  • Excellent supervisory, leadership, organizational, and attention to detail skills.
  • Persuasion and critical thinking abilities.
  • Thorough understanding of company products/services and market competitors.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently while traveling.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Outgoing and proactive personality.
