Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Development Manager to specialize in controls and security solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales, excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to understand and address customer needs effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sales Strategy:

    Develop and implement effective sales strategies to identify and pursue new business opportunities in the controls and security sector by engaging in prospecting through networking, cold calling, and attending industry events.

  • Customer Relationship Management:

    Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers by understanding their unique requirements and providing tailored solutions.

  • Client Consultation:

    Met with clients to assess their Controls and Security needs, provide expert advice on products and solutions, and recommend appropriate systems and services.

  • Product Expertise:

    Maintain in-depth knowledge of our controls and security products, including access control systems, surveillance equipment, alarm systems, and other safety solutions. Stay informed about industry trends and advancements.

  • Sales Presentations:

    Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and product demonstrations to potential clients. Clearly articulate the benefits and features of our offerings.

  • Proposal Development:

    Create detailed sales proposals and quotations that meet customer specifications. Negotiate pricing and terms to secure contracts.

  • Collaboration:

    Work closely with technical teams to ensure solutions meet client requirements and to address any technical inquiries.

  • Market Intelligence:

    Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to inform sales strategies and product development.

  • Sales Reporting:

    Track sales activities, manage pipelines, and provide regular reports to management on progress and forecasts.

  • Post-Sale Support:

    Assist in the onboarding of new clients and provide ongoing support to ensure customer satisfaction and address any issues.

Requirements
  • Education:

    Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or an associate degree with related field experience is preferred.

  • Experience:

    Proven experience in sales, ideally within the controls and security industry.

  • Technical Knowledge:

    Strong technical understanding of security systems, access controls, and related technologies.

  • Soft Skills:

    Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Personal Qualities:

    Self-motivated with a strong desire to achieve sales targets.

  • Software Proficiency:

    Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
