About the Role:

As a Certified Medical Assistant at Lakeshore Bone & Joint Institute, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional, compassionate care to our patients. Our team of experts has served the orthopedic needs of northwest Indiana since 1968, and we are dedicated to providing the highest level of service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist patients, RNs, and physicians with various tasks and procedures
  • Prepare for clinical days by reviewing patient information and retrieving imaging reports and lab results
  • Provide exceptional patient care, including obtaining vitals, updating patient history, and reconciling medications
  • Assist with clinical scheduling, problem-solving, and quality improvement activities
  • Communicate effectively with staff and patients to ensure seamless service

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Graduation from a Medical Assistant program
  • CMA, NHA, or RMA certification
  • Minimum one year of work experience in a public contact job

Working Conditions:

Work is performed in a professional environment with frequent contact with staff and the public. May be stressful at times.
