We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at Adelante Healthcare Inc.
The successful candidate will provide direct patient care and assist patients and their families through the healthcare system by acting as a patient advocate.
- Prepare for patient appointments by reviewing and updating patient records.
- Interview patients to obtain reason for visit and document in electronic medical record.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA policies and procedures.
- Document accurately all patient information in electronic health record.
- Communicate in a timely and professional manner with patients and other members of the care team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical terminology, be able to work independently, and possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

ResponsibilitiesThe Medical Assistant will be responsible for:
- Preparing patients for exams and procedures.
- Collecting and processing specimens.
- Administering medications and immunizations.
- Documenting patient information in electronic health record.
- Communicating with patients and other members of the care team.
The Medical Assistant will also be responsible for maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA policies and procedures.
RequirementsTo be considered for this role, you must have:
- Certification to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation for the Health Care Professional (CPR) and AED through courses that follow the guidelines from the American Heart Association and Red Cross.
- A valid Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card issued by the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
- A high school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
- Graduation from an approved medical assistant training program with one or more years' experience.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical terminology, be able to work independently, and possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
