Shift Supervisor

Job Summary: AutoZone is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Shift Supervisor to join our team. As a Shift Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading company initiatives, ensuring maximum productivity, and driving sales. You will also be responsible for training high-performing AutoZoners in a safe environment and controlling expenses and shrink.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Store Manager with supervising, training, and developing store personnel
• Assume responsibility for the store operation and commercial department in the Store Manager's absence
• Assist with management of the Commercial and Hub Departments to ensure commercial accounts and stores are serviced and deliveries are made as promised
• Delegate and ensure store merchandising tasks are completed in a timely manner
• Operate cash registers and follow established cash handling duties
• Ensure all company policies and loss prevention procedures are followed
• Utilize ZNET to help customers locate merchandise or find suitable alternatives
• Maintain a safe working environment and ensure AutoZoners are implementing safety practices
• Monitor cash flow, inventory, and security control
• Maintain sales productivity, store appearance, and merchandising standards
• Conduct and review all opening and closing procedures
• Manage emergency situations and conduct proper emergency procedures
• Provide feedback regarding AutoZoner performance to the Store Manager
• Assist with monitoring and managing all activities related to Risk & Safety Management to maintain a safe work environment
• Address customer concerns and resolve them with a goal of turning a complaint into a compliment
• Process returns and effectively manage inventory
• Communicate AutoZoner issues and concerns to the Store Manager in a timely and confidential manner
• Motivate AutoZoners to provide excellent customer service, enhance productivity levels, and market products to enhance sales and profits

Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• ASE Certified preferred
• Excellent communication and decision-making skills
