Job Overview

An Industry Leader in all lines of insurance, our client designs and places comprehensive insurance, bonding and employee benefit programs for personal and business needs. We are currently looking for an Insurance Account Manager (Employee Benefits Practice).

Responsibilities and Duties

The main functions of this position are to exercise discretion and independent judgment with respect to providing quotes to prospective and existing customers; coordinating any issues that arise on quotes and binding insurance coverage. Responsibilities include:

  • Requesting renewals from insurance carriers.
  • Preparing Proposal Requests Forms and securing proposals from insurance carriers.
  • Preparing benefits and cost comparisons.
  • Assisting in the Implementation Process upon request.
  • Responding to service requests.
  • FOLLOWING UP on required documentation.
  • Preparing and/or reviewing documentation (e.g., presentations, booklets, amendments).
  • When needed, coordinating employee orientations and enrollment meetings.
  • Coordinating meetings such as those to review reports with customers.
  • Documenting all processes in agency management system.
Qualifications

This position requires an Associate Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or Human Resources, preferably. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of experience and possess strong written and spoken communication skills, particularly in English and Spanish. Additionally, the individual must be able to provide expected service to internal and external customers with speed, efficiency, and courtesy.

Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as additional benefits including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
