Business Office Coordinator

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Business Office Clerk to join our team at Acadia Healthcare. In this role, you will be responsible for the timely submission of claims to third-party payors and collection of outstanding accounts receivable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and payors.
- Review and submit claims to third-party payors in a timely manner.
- Assist with monthly invoicing to guarantors for continued care.
- Registration and charge entry for physician services provided in accordance with policy and procedure.
- Collection and follow-up on outstanding accounts receivable, maintaining a current collection list.
- Review and resolve accounts with credit balances, requesting refunds and/or adjustments as necessary.
- Document all collection efforts and contacts in the patient accounting system.
- Inform the Business Office Manager of any potential issues that may delay payment or issues with specific payors.
- Resubmit claims as necessary and maintain a log of claim resubmissions.
Requirements:
A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with knowledge of medical billing and collections experience.
