Job Summary

The Kitchen Helper/Dietary Aide will assist the Cook in the preparation and service of meals, ensuring that quality food service is provided to our residents and clients. This role will involve preparing and delivering food and trays, washing dishes, and cleaning and sanitizing the kitchen according to health standards. If you are a team player with a strong work ethic and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service, we encourage you to apply for this rewarding role.

Responsibilities

  1. Assist the Cook in the preparation and service of meals, ensuring that quality food service is provided to our residents and clients.
  2. Prepare and deliver food and trays according to established policies and procedures.
  3. Wash dishes and clean and sanitize the kitchen according to health standards.
  4. Utilize protective gear in all appropriate functions and follow safety precautions at all times.
  5. Report equipment and cleaning product needs and malfunctions to the supervisor in a timely fashion.
  6. Ensure that established standards, safety, and quality guidelines are met at all times.

Requirements

  • Demonstrate a positive attitude and ability to follow oral and written instructions.
  • Perform routine, repetitive tasks daily.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Specialized training in food service is desirable.
  • May be required to complete an approved sanitation and safety course.
