Job SummaryWe're seeking a Child Life Specialist to join our team in the Emergency Department. In this role, you'll participate in therapeutic activities and programs to meet patients' psychosocial and developmental needs, and facilitate adjustment to healthcare experiences.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Delegate work assignments to volunteers and participate in clinical training of student interns
- Work 24 hours per week, including day, evening, weekend, and holiday rotations
- Bachelor's degree in Child Development, Child Life, or a closely related field
- 600-hour Child Life internship under the supervision of a certified child life specialist
- Certification in Child Life Specialist required within 1 year of hire
