Job Summary

Radiation Therapist Specialist is a vital role in our team at Corewell Health. This position requires a high level of knowledge and skills in radiation therapy procedures, treatment plans, and delivery. The ideal candidate will have a strong educational background in radiation therapy and certification in the field.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer prescribed doses of radiation to specific body parts using radiation therapy equipment.
  • Review prescriptions, diagnoses, patient charts, and identification to validate actual treatment dosages delivered during each session.
  • Prepare and construct equipment such as immobilization, treatment, and protection devices, including electron blocks.
  • Collaborate with other divisions to ensure clear communication and coordinated care.
  • Monitor patient progress, recognizing and reporting any signs of complications.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have a strong foundation in radiation therapy, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Additionally, you must be certified in radiation therapy and have a strong educational background in the field.
