This key role will be responsible for managing sea freight imports and exports, port drayage, intermodal rail, and transload operations, as well as budgeting and financial planning.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage all East Coast freight movement, including sea freight imports and exports, port drayage, intermodal rail, and transload operations.
- Own cost, cycle time, service, and quality KPI's for all transportation service providers.
- Serve as subject matter expert for internal cross-functional partners.
- Utilize KPI's and shipment data to address exceptions and drive improved performance.
- Drive innovation and challenge the status quo in all areas of supply chain.
- Facilitate communication and partnerships between service providers and DCs.
- Live and breathe RH's Core Values and Beliefs.
- Experience overseeing trucking and port drayage providers.
- Familiar with seaport terminal operations and terminology.
- Understand customs procedures for imports.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong data analytics skills, experience with GT Nexus preferred.
- 5-8+ years experience in a high volume transportation environment.
- Able to travel as needed.
