Job Title: Emergency Department Supply Lead

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Emergency Department Supply Lead to join our team at Jobleads-Us. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing shift leadership and supervision to Support Associates, ensuring the availability and maintenance of supplies and equipment in the Emergency Department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide shift supervision and leadership to Support Associates, ensuring the smooth operation of the Emergency Department.
  • Serve as the point person for clinical staff in addressing supply and equipment problems and concerns.
  • Ensure that all supplies and equipment are available and maintained, working closely with nurse management, staff nurses, and other departments.
  • Manage the inventory of supplies and equipment, completing daily inventory checks and maintaining par levels.
  • Coordinate the delivery of supplies from central supply to the Emergency Department, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
  • Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to identify and remedy supply and equipment problems.
  • Stock patient treatment rooms with necessary forms and supplies.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe environment in the Emergency Department.
  • Complete reports at the end of each shift to document tasks completed and items requiring follow-up.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma and/or 2 years prior experience in a similar clinical setting preferred.
  • At least two years supervisory experience preferred.
  • Ability to lead employees in a stressful environment and manage employee issues effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and excellent judgment.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, with appropriate physical condition and strength for cleaning, pushing, pulling, and some heavy lifting.
  • Basic knowledge of medical supplies, instruments, and equipment.
  • Ability to organize and maximize storage space.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Positive attitude and ability to use sound reasoning in isolating a problem and reaching a sound conclusion.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.

Working Conditions:

Able to work in a fast-paced and stressful environment, with the ability to stand for several hours at a time and maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment in the Emergency Department.
