About this role:


We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sales Consultant for Retirement Solutions to join our team. As a sales consultant, you will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with financial advisors and registered investment advisors.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with financial advisors and registered investment advisors.
  • Partner with regional vice presidents to create and implement programs that drive opportunities in their territories.
  • Leverage investment tools and provide insight to registered representatives to help them improve portfolio construction.
  • Educate advisors on the retirement industry and provide guidance on product offerings.
  • Assist advisors and TPAs with sold case paperwork and plan onboarding.
  • Recommend and strategize with TPA partners to develop unique and optimal plan designs.
  • Support advisor business growth by providing industry insights and leveraging John Hancock's story and services.
  • Establish and execute business strategies and annual territory plans to achieve revenue and growth targets.
  • Provide service and support by contacting advisor audiences and soliciting opportunities.
  • Qualify new advisor prospects by gaining insight into their business models and client compositions.
  • Participate in training and coaching development programs to enhance skills and provide opportunities for advancement.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • A minimum of 2-3 years progressive work experience in phone and/or sales type roles.
  • Commitment to attain the Securities Industry Essentials, Series 6, 63, and state insurance and variable licenses within 4 months of hire.
  • Possession of excellent relationship building, communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Superior business acumen, especially with retirement plan products and intermediary strategies.
  • Versatility to use multiple tools and systems to efficiently research and prepare competitive proposals for advisors.
  • Honed analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly in relation to providing guidance and managing a territory.
