Job Title: JCI/Metasys Controls Service Technician

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced technician to install, maintain, and repair JCI/Metasys control systems. This role requires a strong understanding of HVAC controls systems, facilities management systems, site preparation, peripheral equipment installation and servicing techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and repair JCI/Metasys control systems to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex HVAC mechanical, electrical, and control problems to minimize downtime and maximize system reliability.
  • Program and commission JCI/Metasys controllers to meet specific customer requirements.
  • Provide technical support to customers through effective communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Train and mentor new technicians to ensure knowledge sharing and succession planning.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • A minimum of an Associate degree in electronics, mechanical systems, computer technology, air conditioning or similar field, plus five years of industry experience with HVAC Controls or 5+ years of experience with Johnson Controls Metasys Systems, service, start-up and commissioning, and programming.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve common goals.
  • Effective interpersonal skills to communicate technical information to technical and non-technical people.
  • Leadership skills to support the activities of Mechanics working on non-complex, non-critical Building Automation equipment on a job site.
  • PC experience required and the ability to program HVAC related software.

Salary Range: $76,800 - $90,240 per year (based on 40 hours/week, $19 - $22 hourly)
