Commercial HVAC Technician II

Job Overview

Johnson Controls seeks a dedicated commercial HVAC technician to work with our team in servicing advanced heavy commercial and industrial equipment. This position requires a solid understanding of residential, light commercial, and commercial mechanical equipment.

Duties and Responsibilities

Perform scheduled maintenance, repair, and replacement tasks on commercial heating and cooling systems using state-of-the-art technology, equipment, and attire.

Partner with journeyman technicians to diagnose and repair intricate systems, including open-drive screw chillers, ammonia systems, and other complex equipment.

Essential Skills and Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required
• A minimum of two years of experience in commercial and/or industrial mechanical troubleshooting within the HVAC industry is necessary
• Proficiency in computer applications and strong verbal and written communication skills are essential

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• A minimum of five years of experience in commercial and/or industrial work within the HVAC industry is preferred
• Refrigeration certification is highly desirable
• EPA universal refrigerant certification is also highly recommended

Estimated Annual Compensation Range: $65,000 - $90,000, based on experience.
