At MyCare Health Center, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our medical staff in the examination and treatment of patients.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist medical staff in the examination and treatment of patients, including office visits and procedures.
- Perform direct patient care procedures and related tasks, such as checking in patients, obtaining patient histories, taking vital signs, and preparing charts.
- Prepare exam rooms for patient examinations and maintain stocks of medical supplies as necessary.
- Administer injections and perform venipuncture blood draws and process specimens according to required lab specifications.
- Educate and advise patients on specified medical issues within established parameters.
- Document services delivered in a timely, accurate, and prescribed manner, in compliance with the MyCare Health Center Quality Assurance Plan.
- Completion of a technical education program for medical assisting and Medical Assistant Certification is required within 90 days of employment.
- 1-2 years of medical assisting experience in a family medicine environment is preferred.
- All employees are required to maintain a current BLS/CPR certification.
- 160 hours of Paid Time Off + 11 paid Holidays annually
- Medical, dental and vision insurance for staff with an option to purchase dependent coverage for a reasonable cost
- Life Insurance equal to one-year salary
