About Our Client

Fulcro Talent Acquisition is excited to partner with a leading consulting and software development company in Puerto Rico to find a skilled Software Development Engineer.

Job Summary

Responsible for designing, developing, and testing custom enterprise applications, utilities, and system integration tools.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Work with project sponsors to define the scope of work and functional specifications for custom applications.
  • Manage the life cycle of the custom application, including design, coding, debugging, testing, and maintenance.
  • Design and develop the code necessary to satisfy agreed-on functional specifications.
  • Document, track, and resolve all software-related bugs for the custom applications.
  • Document, track, and implement approved design and feature modifications and enhancements.
  • Perform a complete analysis of the business issue to ensure the application being requested will meet the business needs.
  • Coordinate with the Director of Information Technology and other IT staff to allow for proper training, support, and operation of the custom application.
  • Document and transfer appropriate knowledge to the Support Center and Network Operations staff to allow for day-to-day troubleshooting tasks and operational functionality.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Software engineering, or relevant field or combination of work and education.
  • 3-5 years proven experience as a Computer Programmer, Software Developer, or relevant position.
  • Required languages: ASP.NET, VB.NET, C#, SQL, JAVA.
  • 3-5 years' experience using Web Forms, Web Services, SQL Server, and IIS.
  • Experience dealing with legacy applications and transitioning them to current architecture standards a plus.
  • Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members and management.
  • Outstanding organizational, project management, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to effectively work independently and on teams.
  • Ability to grasp an understanding of a system quickly and become knowledgeable of the system.
