DevOps Engineering Specialist

At Buscojobs Puerto Rico, we're looking for a highly motivated individual to join our team as a DevOps Engineering Specialist - Cloud Infrastructure and Security. This role offers a competitive salary of $110,000 per year, taking into account the cost of living in San Juan, Cupey.

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to lead the development and management of CI/CD pipelines, AWS cloud infrastructure, security, compliance, release, and risk management. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with software development teams to provide them with the tools to develop, test, and release high-quality software securely and efficiently.

The ideal candidate will have strong software engineering experience, Linux administration, and scripting skills. You should be hands-on with container technologies (Docker and Kubernetes), cloud application deployment automation patterns, and various scripting languages. Experience with DevSecOps technologies like GitLab, BitBucket Artifactory, Jenkins, Kiuwan, and Veracode is also a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines
• Design and implement secure AWS cloud infrastructure
• Enforce code quality standards and best practices
• Participate in planning, definition, design, and integration of pipeline and infrastructure services
• Owning the implementation of generic common component/service aspects of pipelines

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems
• 3+ years of experience in a senior role or leading small to mid-size projects
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong data analysis and debugging skills
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment with multiple, changing priorities
• Understanding of shipping products to customers and has been through the process from start to finish
• Ability to promote robust and maintainable code with clear documentation

Preferred Certifications/Licenses:

• AWS certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Developer, and AWS Certified SysOps Administrator
