About the RoleWe are seeking an Environmental Health Specialist to join our team. This is a challenging role that requires strong technical skills and regulatory knowledge. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical guidance on environmental programs, ensuring compliance with local, federal regulations, and implementing EHS self-assessment programs.
Responsibilities- Provide technical and regulatory guidance on environmental programs, focusing on recognizing, evaluating, and controlling environmental hazards.
- Advice management on proper procedures, work practices, equipment to ensure compliance with all legal requirements and regulations.
- Implements EHS self-assessment programs, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable local, federal regulations, and company directives.
- Reviews capital renovations and new construction projects to ensure environmental requirements are addressed.
To be considered for this role, you will need:
- Bachelor's degree in Science (Biology, Chemistry, Engineering, or related EH&S field).
- Five years of exposure in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Fully bilingual Spanish and English.
- Demonstrated leadership skills.
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
$85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
