About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Applications and Database Administrator to join our team at Oriental in San Juan, PR. This is a hybrid role that requires a strong understanding of application and database environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor procedures for daily operations, including file transfers and process execution.
- Enforce change control, logs, and auditing controls.
- Perform complex analysis, programming, and implementation of scripts and programs needed for application support.
- Implement, develop, administer, and support databases (SQL, Oracle, AWS, DBs & others).
- Gather requirements and consider technical aspects during development or implementation of applications and databases.
- Establish and manage user profiles and access, and design user environments.
- Lead efforts for designing and developing data security measures and identify data security risks and exposures.
- Maintain constant communication with application providers to implement versions, regulatory requirements, and security patches.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
- Five years of experience in applications and databases required, banking experience preferred.
- Minimum education and experience can be substituted with equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft, Amazon Web Services, Azure, Office 365 environments.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), reporting systems, and other business applications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Spanish and English.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, multitasking, teamwork, and ability to work effectively with vendors.
- Knowledge of Infrastructure and Network.
