About the Role
Ascension Living is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team in a long-term care setting. As a Registered Nurse, you will provide direct nursing care to patients, implement and monitor patient care plans, and serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities of this role include:
- Providing direct nursing care to patients in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization
- Implementing and monitoring patient care plans
- Monitoring, recording, and communicating patient condition as appropriate
- Serving as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care
- Note and carry out physician and nursing orders
- Assuring resident safety by identifying safety hazards and emergency situations and initiating corrective action as appropriate
- Assessing and coordinating patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Registered Nurse obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
