Job Description

As a Special Education Teacher at Gersh Autism, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of our students. You will work closely with our team of therapists, psychologists, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans that meet the unique needs of each student.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans for students with Autism
  • Collaborate with therapists, psychologists, and other professionals to create a comprehensive support system for students
  • Provide direct and indirect instructional support to students
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to ensure a collaborative approach to student care

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education, Education, Psychology, or related field
  • 1 year of teaching experience (preferred)
  • 1 year of experience working with students with Autism (preferred)
  • Spanish language proficiency
  • Puerto Rico Special Education Teaching License (preferred)
