Job Summary

Walmart is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Counsel - Commercial Litigation to join our Global Communications team. As a key member of our litigation team, you will be responsible for advising business and legal leadership on legal rights, obligations, and risks while managing a docket of commercial litigation cases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing risk mitigation strategies by ensuring consistent implementation of company policies and practices
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to mitigate legal and business risk
  • Providing legal advice and counsel to business clients
  • Retaining, managing, and collaborating closely with outside counsel to drive case strategy
  • Reviewing and editing court submissions, overseeing discovery, and managing legal spend

Requirements:

  • Law degree from an accredited law school and 6 years' experience in law
  • License to practice law in at least one state
  • 2 years' experience leading cross-functional teams
