Job Summary

As a Lead Counsel - Commercial Litigation, you will play a critical role in developing risk mitigation strategies and ensuring consistent implementation of company policies and practices. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to mitigate legal and business risk, providing legal advice and counsel to business clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create legal strategies for commercial litigation matters
  • Develop business best practices and procedures to mitigate corporate risk
  • Manage outside counsel on commercial litigation matters
  • Maintain budget compliance through consistent management of outside counsel legal fees and litigation costs
  • Provide legal advice and counsel to internal stakeholders
  • Identify the need for legal support for business transactions and projects
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
Requirements
  • Law degree from an accredited law school and 6 years' experience in law
  • License to practice law in at least one state
  • 2 years' experience leading cross-functional teams
Benefits

Walmart offers a competitive salary range of $160,000.00-$320,000.00, plus annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation may include stock. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, vision, and dental coverage, 401(k), stock purchase, and company-paid life insurance. Paid time off benefits include PTO (including sick leave), parental leave, family care leave, bereavement, jury duty, and voting.
