We are seeking a skilled Military Healthcare Benefits Coordinator to join our team at Leidos, Inc. in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

As a Military Healthcare Benefits Coordinator, you will play a critical role in supporting the TRICARE Overseas Program (TOP) under the Defense Health Agency (DHA). Your primary responsibility will be to provide beneficiary education and enrollment support services, including customer support and assistance, beneficiary education, and enrollment support designed to assist DHA in operating an integrated healthcare delivery system for all eligible beneficiaries overseas.

About the Job

  1. Verify benefits eligibility and process enrollments, disenrollments, portability transfers, and more using the Defense Online Enrollment System (DOES), Customer Relationship Manager (CRM) systems, etc.
  2. Register TRICARE beneficiaries in MHS Genesis System
  3. Perform individual and/or batch Primary Care Manager (PCM) changes, following the Military Treatment Facility (MTF) guidelines
  4. Provide education on TRICARE resources and benefits, enrollment/disenrollment information, and customer service to beneficiaries on the phone and in person
  5. Collect, process, retrieve, and disseminate transfer information to support the TRICARE active-duty and active-duty family member portability/disenrollment process
  6. Conduct briefings for In Processing, Out Processing, Maternity, pre-separation/retirement, and others
  7. Provide basic claims support such as providing information on the status of claims
  8. Collect and record Other Health Information (OHI) information into applicable systems
  9. Determine the appropriate assistance levels and when forward a call or refer as needed to address the beneficiary's question
  10. Collect and report information on daily activities performed
  11. Assess the appropriate assistance level needed and refer or escalate as needed to address the issue at hand
  12. Complete on a timely basis and comply with and all required HIPAA, Leidos, and other training and refresher courses
  13. Maintain confidentiality and proper handling of Protected Health Information (PHI)
  14. Provide remote support to Leidos BSRs at other sites
  15. Adhere to a business casual dress code
  16. Provide shadow support to new BSRs as needed
  17. Other duties as assigned

About You

  • You must have a high school diploma or GED
  • You must be SOFA/Command Sponsored as a dependent of an Active-Duty Service Member or DoD employee
  • You must be a US Citizen to be considered for this position
  • You must be eligible for and maintain ADP IT III clearance/Non-Sensitive Position, Tier 1
  • You must have three years' cumulative experience in the following areas: Experience in U.S. military healthcare delivery system or civilian managed care medical/administrative environment Experience in a medical or clinical environment Experience with the CHCS or civilian healthcare computer system and in processing medical claims Experience in a public environment

Compensation

The estimated salary range for this position is $28,600 - $51,700 per year, depending on your experience and qualifications. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, paid time off, and professional development opportunities.
