Job Summary:

This role combines clinical expertise with relationship-building skills to increase organ/tissue donation for transplantation. As a Clinical Liaison/First Responder, you will work with hospitals and donation-related agencies to identify and employ available resources.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform first responder responsibilities, including physical assessment, communication with healthcare teams, and verification of next-of-kin information.
  • Assist Referral Coordinator and Administrator-on-call as needed.
  • Participate in on-call schedules and respond to referrals on-site at hospitals.
  • Document referral information in a timely manner.

Development Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with hospital staff, including physicians, residents, nurses, and administrative personnel.
  • Provide education on the donation process and maintain high visibility on all shifts.
  • Develop and implement hospital-specific plans based on data analysis and goals.
  • Compile and analyze measurable activity data to determine effectiveness.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN/RN).
  • Minimum three years of clinical experience in an ICU/ER.
  • Ability to apply sound judgment and interact with various audiences.
  • Reliable vehicle and good driving record.
