Job Summary

ICF seeks a Health Specialist to serve as a liaison between the Regional and Central Office of Head Start (OHS) and the National Center on Health and Wellness. The successful candidate will provide subject matter expertise, strategies, and resources to Regional Office and Training and Technical Assistance (TTA) staff on comprehensive health services, including mental health and environmental health and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide liaison services between OHS, National Center, and other relevant agencies.
  • Offer subject matter expertise, strategies, and resources on comprehensive health services.
  • Develop and implement strategies for connecting with grantee health managers and/or coordinators.
  • Aggregate, analyze, and disseminate regional and grantee health data.
  • Develop and provide presentations and training on early childhood health, mental health, safety, and related topics.
  • Provide direct service to individual grantees, at the direction of the Regional Office.
Basic Qualifications
  • BA or BS in public health, health education, maternal and child health, health administration, or related degree.
  • Minimum three years' experience in health services in early childhood programs.
  • Experience analyzing health-related data and providing training and technical assistance.
  • Experience facilitating group discussions and presenting to various audiences.
Preferred Experience/Skills
  • Knowledge of Head Start performance standards and applicable federal, state, and local laws.
  • Experience working within a Head Start Program.
Professional Skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and virtual platforms.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Team player with ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
