Job Title: Maintenance/Engineer

At Ocean Place, we are seeking a skilled Maintenance/Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing all equipment in our laundry, kitchen, guestrooms, convention areas, and public spaces.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Adhere to all work order policies and procedures
  • Communicate parts and materials needs to supervisor in a timely manner
  • Maintain and repair all equipment to manufacturer's specifications
  • Monitor life safety systems and respond to alerts as necessary
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks
  • Report all unsafe conditions immediately
  • Complete other duties assigned by supervisor
Requirements:
  • 2-5 years of experience in commercial or institutional maintenance environment
  • HVAC or plumbing or electrical skills
  • Light carpentry and knowledge of paint and wallpaper
  • Certification in pool operation preferred but not required
  • Valid driver's license preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively with public and other employees
Working Conditions:
  • Long hours sometimes required
  • Heavy work - Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 50 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects
  • Ability to stand during entire shift
