Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician I to join our team at Halcore Group, Inc. This role involves performing various aspects of building and grounds maintenance, machinery maintenance, and record keeping.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine and scheduled preventative maintenance on specified production and facility equipment, machinery, and tools.
  • Run air and power hand tools in performing assigned repairs.
  • Keep maintenance and tool records current; including safety checklists as assigned.
  • Fabricate or assemble equipment as required.
  • Ensure that hazardous waste that is handled is placed into the proper container(s).
  • Maintain all satellite and storage containers in a closed position unless adding or removing waste.
  • Perform grounds and facilities maintenance
  • Inspect/identify material and material facilities to determine if classified as hazardous
  • Package, label, dispose, document, and transport of Hazardous materials according to industry practice

Requirements:

  • One (1) year of experience working in a mechanical or electrical-related environment preferred
  • Ability to perform all operations within acceptable quality and time standards
  • Must have general knowledge of OSHA and EPA standards
  • Precision measuring, hand, and power tools experience required
  • Eagerness to grow and develop knowledge, skills, and abilities
  • Welding, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, or facility maintenance experience
  • Experience rebuilding and/or repairing CNC equipment preferred
  • Establishes and maintain cooperative working relationships
  • Flexibility to work overtime to include Fridays and occasional Saturdays

Work Environment: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

Personal Protective Equipment: Safety glasses, Safety Shoes, Face shields, Earplugs, Work gloves, Protective disposable suit when necessary, Respirator when required for hazardous materials
