Job Summary:
We're seeking an experienced Medical Technologist Generalist to join our team. This role will be responsible for performing laboratory tests, analyzing results, and providing critical values to physicians. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of hematology, chemistry, serology, and immunology, as well as excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Lab Operations: Perform and document quality control, maintain inventory, and recognize equipment failure.
- Clinical Decision Making: Determine specimen acceptability, prioritize samples, and take corrective action when necessary.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate with colleagues, provide training, and assist with special projects.
- Education and Training: Stay up-to-date with industry developments, attend workshops, and participate in continuing education programs.
Requirements:
- Licensure: Current license by the State of Florida (or eligibility) in Hematology, Chemistry, Serology, and Immunology.
- Certification: National certification preferred.
