What´s the role?

Support the operation of the shared service area to provide efficient, innovative, and customer-centric solutions to our internal stakeholders. Working within the established guidelines, procedures and law requirements, to deliver quality customer service in line with our established Service Level Agreement.

How can you add value?

Lead customer service tier 1 support on payroll inquiries such as hours worked, deductions, time off, bonuses and payments. Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies or issues on a timely manner for Puerto Rico and USVI through the official toll Jira. Ensure to attend and distribute the queries into the ticket system to grant a smooth payroll employee experience. Clearly and effectively explain compensation policies, taxes, deductions or any other payroll related concept to the customers. Ensure confidentiality of employee information and protection of sensitive data. Analize and escalate if needed payroll customer service queries to the correct owner assuring the effective answer and satisfaction of the costumer. Support the employee lifecycle including promotions, transfers, leave of absence, benefits inquiries, and others as needed. Support on leave management process according to applicable laws and internal policies to assure legal and smooth leave procedures, that gives our employees excellent experience and the company a compliance assurance. Produce ad hoc people statistics/reporting. Interact with colleagues as the initial point of contact to Human Resources and support onboarding procedures, if needed. Answer routine or first level colleague and leader inquiries relating to Human Resources benefit plans, policies, procedures, and programs. This will include payroll and general tier 1 support. Support on any general people issues when required. Analize and escalate cases outside of the normal procedures. Own, manage and update HR data. Maintain accurate records on Shared Drive or other systems to facilitate easy retrieval of information, management decisions and audit reviews. Maintain employee files and records in electronic and paper form according to Standard Operations Procedures and SOX regulations. Follow and understand any SOX procedure of the area. Prepare information required for internal/external audit processes. Participate on any continue improvement process and update customer service procedures. Demonstrates and maintains compliance with the Customer First Philosophy, Liberty Latin America’s policies and procedures including the Code of Conduct and Liberty safety standards and procedures. Any other duties consistent with the general level, nature and function of the role may be assigned. What do you need?

Preferred education/ qualifications:

Degree in business, administration, or a related field required.

At least 3 years of progressive HR experience, including payroll.

Knowledge & Experience:

Strong verbal, written and communication skills, good attention to details. Uses good time management and prioritizes daily tasks. Proactive and takes initiative in seeing tasks to completion. Knowledgeable in all phases of the project management life cycle. Strong computer skills and experience with relevant software programs. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Good interpersonal and organizational skills. Familiarity of federal, state, and local laws and regulations that impact human resources and the employment relationship. Human Resources / Payroll Capacity / Shared Services. Technical Capacity. Skills & Abilities:

Shared Services experience. Ticketing services experience. Fully Bilingual (Spanish and English). Ability to accurately maintain confidential or sensitive information. Ability to manage several projects and tasks at a time. Strive to efficiently respond and interact with all levels of interpersonal staff, including executives. Requires high level computer expertise, including use of database, word processing, spreadsheet (Excel), and presentation applications. Solid problem-solving and business insight skills.
