General Description
The technical assistant processes the submission of insurance policies and updates customer files. It also supports subscribers in preparing simple endorsements. This position requires strong attention to detail, quick thinking and problem-solving skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Prepare, review, file and update records or documents. Keep track of received data and source documents.
Works directly with underwriters to process insurance policy shipments to policyholders according to instructions received. Sends insurance policies to creditors and insurance companies. It documents the work it does in the Agency's system and ensures that it meets the service levels established in the unit. Prepares and mails letters to policyholders for new business policies, renewals and endorsements. Prepares insurance certificates according to the subscriber's instructions. Organize and work with detailed office or warehouse records. Verifies that policyholder information, including names, addresses, etc. is complete and in accordance with established standards. Performs record keeping and data entry into agency systems or policy issuance systems to maintain accurate customer information. It supports subscribers in processing simple endorsements that do not require the payment of an additional premium. Supports the Claims Unit in the event of a major catastrophic event.
Education
+ 60 Bachelor's Degree Credits Approved in Office Systems
Experience
At least one (1) year of administrative work experience.
