Role Description:
The IT Business Project Manager leads and manages the design, analysis, and quality team. This critical role serves as a bridge between business needs and technological solutions, ensuring that IT projects are aligned with the company's strategic objectives. The Manager oversees the complete analysis lifecycle, from requirements gathering to solution delivery.
Likewise, the MBA works closely with the commercial/business area to support the company's goals and objectives. Among their key functions are supporting the analysis and documentation of functional requirements for assigned projects and coordinating tasks with other departments, including IT, to deliver high-quality solutions in accordance with best practices. The role involves reviewing all customer requirements and the solutions proposed by the IT area to determine the scope level of the solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead, train, and supervise functional staff in the areas of Design, Business Analysis, Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC), and Data Analysis.
Plan and facilitate meetings with key stakeholders to identify, understand, and document their needs (business objectives).
Define strategies to model current business processes (AS-IS) and propose improvements (TO-BE), using notation tools such as BPMN, UML, or flowcharts.
Collaborate on and validate requirements documentation (functional and non-functional), including user stories, use cases, business rules, glossaries, and activity flows, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Develop strategic recommendations and create detailed reports and visual presentations on project status to inform stakeholders.
Collaborate with the quality team to validate test plans and identify gaps and inconsistencies, ensuring adequate requirements coverage.
Review reported defects and make strategic improvement recommendations for applications and processes.
Ensure the team completes timesheets within established deadlines and without errors.
Prepare a monthly report per project detailing tasks completed by the team under their direction, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
Actively engage with Project Managers and development teams to ensure client requirements are met and delivery risks (deliverables) are mitigated.
Support Project Managers in identifying strategies to optimize timelines and defining solutions for recurring issues in processes and applications.
Clearly and effectively communicate and translate client requirements and needs to teams across different areas.
Participate in strategic decision-making at the management level, providing recommendations based on data analysis and an understanding of business needs.

General Responsibilities:
Define and optimize business process models within the assigned functional area.
Conduct site visits to client facilities to meet with stakeholders and collaborators to understand their needs and identify business opportunities.
Anticipate, mitigate, and respond quickly and effectively to risks and unforeseen events, minimizing negative impacts.
Communicate the progress of requests in a timely manner, as required by stakeholders.
Establish strong lines of communication and collaboration with all company departments.
Maintain strong and consistent communication with clients, fostering long-lasting professional relationships.
Ensure the team is aware of and complies with the company's internal policies and procedures.
Maintain strict confidentiality of all handled information.
Keep documentation organized and presentable within the company's established structure.
Prepare management reports for both the company and the client.
Prepare billing-related documents as requested by the client.
Perform any other tasks necessary for the proper operation of the company and as required by their supervisor.

Requirements:

5 to 8 years of progressive experience in Business Analysis for technology projects of various types.
3 to 5 years of proven experience in team leadership and management.
Knowledge and practical application of Agile (Agile, Scrum) and traditional (Waterfall) project management methodologies.
Ability to apply logical or scientific thinking principles to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to interpret a wide variety of technical instructions in schematic form and work with diverse abstract and concrete variables.
Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively under pressure with technical and non-technical teams.
Strong time management skills, prioritization, and ability to meet deadlines.
Ability to understand the consequences of various problematic situations and make appropriate decisions.
Ability to write IT documentation (system requirements specifications, design documents, user acceptance testing procedures, process flow diagrams, etc.).
Ability to accurately and timely report facts, technical information, and information related to project management and the SDLC director.
Ability to develop a strong business-oriented mindset.
Detail-oriented and highly analytical.
Strong organizational skills.
Advanced proficiency in the MS Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams, etc.).
Proficiency with specialized task management tools such as Jira, Asana, DevOps, etc.
Advanced proficiency in Spanish and English (verbal and written).
Maintain a professional, proactive, and results-oriented attitude.
Maintain a professional appearance at all times.
Willingness for continuous learning and adaptation to new tools or methodologies.
Additional requirements may be requested in the future depending on company's operational needs.

Education:
Bachelor's Degree in a technology-related field such as Software Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems.
Or a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or Management, supplemented by proven work experience in IT.
Or equivalent sustainable experience.
Relevant certifications in project management, Product Backlog management, product vision, or Agile methodologies—such as Scrum Master Certified (SMC), Scrum Product Owner Certified (SPOC), Certified Tester Scrum (CT-SCRUM), Scrum Fundamentals Certified (SFC), or Certified Business Analysis Professional (IIBA – CBAP)—are highly valued.
