Sr Technical Project Manager

The Technical Project Manager leads complex, large-scale technology initiatives from planning through execution, ensuring delivery is achieved on time, within scope, and within budget. This role works closely with cross-functional teams, technical leaders, and internal and external stakeholders to drive successful outcomes across systems, infrastructure, and application environments. The TPM leverages both Waterfall and Agile methodologies, adapting delivery approaches as needed while actively managing risks, dependencies, and stakeholder expectations.
Job Duties:
Lead and oversee multiple concurrent technology initiatives, including projects with multi-million-dollar budgets.
Build and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets using tools such as JIRA, MS Project, and Smartsheet.
Collaborate with cross-functional partners (IT, Security, Legal, Compliance, Finance, and Senior Leadership) to translate business and technical requirements into executable delivery plans.
Manage vendors, suppliers, and system integrators, including task coordination, deliverable tracking, and performance oversight.
Ensure alignment between business objectives and technical execution, converting requirements into clear, actionable project deliverables.
Apply Waterfall and Agile methodologies, adjusting delivery models based on project complexity and organizational maturity.
Monitor project progress, identify and manage risks and issues, and implement mitigation strategies to keep delivery on track.
Facilitate project meetings, status reviews, and executive-level reporting.
Provide hands-on support and guidance related to systems, infrastructure, and/or databases, ensuring feasibility and alignment with architectural standards.
Education & Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Healthcare Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Bilingual: Advanced proficiency in both English and Spanish (oral and written).
7+ years of Project Management experience, with at least 2 years managing IT-related projects.
Proven experience managing large-scale projects with budgets in the millions of dollars.
Hands-on experience using project management tools such as JIRA, MS Project, and Smartsheet.
Experience working with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders in healthcare settings.
Strong knowledge of Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
Technical understanding of healthcare systems, infrastructure, and/or databases.
Plus:
· PMP, Agile, OpEx Green Belt and/or Scrum Master certifications are a strong plus.
· Certification and/or knowledge in ITIL.
