About the Role:This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled lawyer to join our team and contribute to the growth and success of our TV and entertainment business. As a Counsel, you will be responsible for providing legal advice and support to our TV and entertainment teams, as well as working closely with our business partners and stakeholders to drive business growth and development.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide legal advice and support to our TV and entertainment teams on a range of matters, including complex distribution agreements, rights management, and content production and development.
- Work closely with our business partners and stakeholders to drive business growth and development, including identifying and mitigating risks, and developing and implementing strategies to achieve business objectives.
- Manage deals with risks and the long-term in mind, while also being able to close deals with challenging deadlines.
- Identify issues and relevant stakeholders early, and then creatively present solutions to those issues in constructive consultation with those stakeholders.
- Excel in a culture that fosters and demands accountability, speed, trust, and ethical conduct.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience as a transactional attorney, with a focus on entertainment law.
- Strong academic performance at a highly-rated law school.
- Good standing with at least one state bar, and a commitment to register to practice in California if not already licensed.
- Excellent drafting skills, effective deal management, and a strong ability to work independently and as part of a team.
We offer a competitive salary range of $165,000 to $190,000, depending on experience and qualifications. We also offer a range of benefits, including health insurance, retirement savings, and paid time off.
