Job Overview

Mentor Technical Group, a leading provider of technical solutions for the FDA-regulated industry, seeks an experienced Biotechnology Calibration Specialist to join their team. As a world leader in life science engineering and technical solutions, we ensure compliance with pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device safety and efficacy guidelines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform calibrations in a Pharmaceutical Industry environment with expertise in biotechnology highly valued.
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge in tolerance calculation and assessment.
  • Evaluate calibration systems and process tolerances to ensure accuracy.
  • Manage calibration programs using process instrumentation and calibration techniques.
  • Perform calibrations on critical equipment such as Bioreactors, Utilities, Formulation, and Aseptic Areas.
  • Proficiency in Blue Mountain (RAM), Calman, or Procal software is highly desirable.
Requirements
  • Possess an Associate degree in Instrumentation Engineering, AD, Instrumentation Technology, and/or Electronics.
  • Familiarity with cGMP principles and regulations.
Physical Demands
  • Regularly required to use hands to operate equipment, tools, or controls.
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, talk, or hear; sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and smell.
  • May occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
  • May frequently work inside weather conditions, near moving mechanical parts, exposed to wet and humid conditions, and an odorous atmosphere.
  • May be exposed to fumes and the risk of electrical shock.
  • Occasionally works on ladders in high places, in small spaces, such as lift/metering stations, manholes, tanks, and wet wells.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderately loud.
