- Administer oxygen and medication, prepare patients for procedures, and operate specialized equipment
- Inventory medicine and drug stocks, provide immediate evaluation and management of emergent problems, and greet and receive patients
- File and maintain healthcare records, input patient information into the Coast Guard Healthcare Information Systems, and use Microsoft applications to track data and generate reports
- Review and route incoming correspondence, schedule and track consultations, and maintain referral logs
- Provide instruction to clinic staff, prepare and submit documentation, and become familiar with the TRICARE medical benefits program
