Job SummaryWe're seeking a highly skilled Supply Chain Manager to own sourcing, procurement, planning, supplier relationships, and inventory management. This is a critical role in helping us achieve our ambitious production goals. As a Supply Chain Manager, you'll develop creative solutions to drive our supply chain goals forward.
Key Responsibilities- Manage supplier terms and conditions, including implementing payment terms, ensuring on-time delivery, and driving cost savings.
- Execute purchase orders on behalf of the company and resolve any discrepancies and/or invoice issues.
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies that reduce risk and ensure project timelines.
- Manage any cost and logistics associated with tariffs or customs.
- Use procurement data to identify and create strategies for cost reduction, planning, or timeline management.
- Proactively update the engineering team on supply chain status and anticipated issues, and respond quickly to changes in goals, schedule, or design.
- Develop cost models and identify financial impacts of purchasing decisions.
- Work with the engineering team to plan and control costs around capital purchases.
- Understand production needs and maintain adequate inventory levels for production consumables.
- Experience negotiating contracts and establishing terms and conditions.
- Experience finding and sourcing suppliers.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to take ownership of issues and derive solutions in a fast-moving environment.
- Ability to prioritize effectively to meet company goals and timelines.
- Familiarity with developing supply chains that include a mix of high and low volume component parts.
Compensation is determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data. Individual level and base pay is determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related skills, education, experience, and technical capabilities. In addition to base salary, Northwood Space offers long-term incentives such as company stock, stock options, and cash awards, as well as discretionary bonus for performance. Northwood Space benefits include equity, health care, unlimited vacation, retirement savings, and professional development.
