About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and highly motivated Retail Channels Associate to join our team at Oriental. As a key member of our sales and mortgage production team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, promoting Oriental Mortgage products, and driving business growth through innovative solutions and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Sales and Customer Advisory: Utilize consultative selling techniques to present integrated alternatives to clients, leveraging a mix of Oriental’s products and services, including certificates of deposits, checking and savings accounts, IRAs & DGI accounts, mortgage loans, consumer loans, credit cards, and other financial solutions.
  2. Relationship Management: Develop and manage profitable relationships with clients, create customer rapport, and move prospects down the sales funnel to convert from leads to customers.
  3. Transactional Activities: Process a variety of transactional activities to meet and exceed customer needs, ensuring strict compliance with the Bank’s “Know Your Customer” and Anti-Money Laundering procedures.
  4. Business Development: Actively solicit business from prospects, clients, real estate brokers, developers, builders, and individual prospects to offer a range of products, including F.H.A. Loans, Conventional Loans, Second Mortgages, Mortgage-backed personal loans, Farmers’ Home Loans, and other relevant services.
  5. Client Engagement: Continuously engage with clients, providing professional relationships, soliciting new business, and following up on sales encounters to ensure customer satisfaction.
  6. Team Collaboration: Contribute to the branch’s sales and services goals by supporting teamwork initiatives, coordinating client services, and liaising with other departments to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
  7. Professional Development: Participate in ongoing learning and development programs, coaching, and mentoring to enhance skills and knowledge in sales, customer service, and financial solutions.

Requirements:

  1. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or related fields.
  2. Experience: Two years of experience in retail, sales, operations, or customer service.
  3. Skills: Superb consulting skills, working knowledge of sales processes, customer-service orientation, results-driven approach, strong collaboration and teamwork, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
  4. Language: Fully bilingual in English and Spanish (verbal and written).
  5. Technology: Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and banking software and applications, including CRM/Salesforce.
