About the Team

Our marketing and communications team is responsible for raising awareness of ZS Associates, branding the firm, creating and distributing thought leadership, and supporting business development through communications and events support. We are looking for an experienced professional to join our team as an Event Marketing Lead. This person will report to the head of events and be responsible for managing the strategy and coordination of in-person and digital events, including ZS-produced and external sponsored speaking engagements and events.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the complete lifecycle of events from ideation through post-event analysis, positioning yourself as a key event strategist within ZS's marketing and business teams.
  • Create and maintain detailed project plans, conduct regular updates with executive stakeholders, and proactively identify and escalate risks to ensure each event meets or exceeds established KPIs.
  • Coordinate with diverse teams (content, design, web, demand generation) to ensure that all event objectives are effectively met and aligned with broader marketing goals.
  • Work with the growth marketing team to develop impactful promotional materials (emails, landing pages, internal communications, and paid advertising), to maximize event attendance and engagement.
  • Manage the end-to-end registration process for ZS-owned events using platforms like Cvent and ON24, ensuring a seamless experience for attendees.
  • Manage and negotiate event contracts, ensuring adherence to budget constraints while tracking and reconciling expenses.
  • Travel to events to oversee operations and logistics, guaranteeing stakeholder and client satisfaction through effective onsite management.
  • Compile comprehensive post-event reports featuring data-driven analysis, attendee feedback, goal attainment, and actionable recommendations for future events.
  • Challenge the status quo by implementing innovative ideas and creative approaches to enhance the overall customer experience at events.
  • Act as a mentor to junior team members, sharing insights and fostering professional growth within the events team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years of experience planning and managing business marketing events (i.e., conferences, digital events, trade shows, webinars, roundtables)
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Strong project management skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills: self-motivated and independent
  • Effective when working in a collaborative environment and successful in developing strong working relationships
  • Excellent writing, communication, and presentation skills
  • Strong organization and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects and meet deadlines
  • Experience working with senior business leaders and managing multiple stakeholders
  • Ability to travel up to 25%
  • B2B experience preferred
  • Preferred: CMP, ON24 experience, Cvent platform
