The Director of Development will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing New Art's fundraising strategy to advance its annual and long-term goals. Reporting to the Executive Director, this individual will work closely with the Board of Governors, Marketing department, and other stakeholders to cultivate a culture of philanthropy and drive revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement comprehensive fundraising plans, including major gifts, annual appeals, membership, institutional giving, and events.
- Maintain a personal portfolio of donors and cultivate relationships to secure major gifts from individuals, corporations, and foundations.
- Oversee fundraising strategies for capital projects, collaborate with consultants as needed, and advance planned giving initiatives.
- Monitor and evaluate fundraising activities, ensure goals are met, and prepare progress reports.
- Organize fundraising events, create gift proposals, reports, appeals, and solicitation letters, and develop supporting materials.
- Collaborate with the Executive Director, Marketing department, and Board to create a communication plan and promote New Art's mission and activities.
- Proven track record in fundraising, with experience in major gifts, annual giving, membership, corporate and foundation giving, and planned giving.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate New Art's mission and value to donors and stakeholders.
- Strong computer skills, knowledge of donor research and customer relationship management systems, and ability to work with data to inform fundraising strategies.
- Passion for New Art's programs, goals, and mission, with a deep interest in cultivating the donor community in the region.
- Competitive compensation, anticipated in the range of $100,000 to $115,000.
- Annual healthcare stipend, short-term disability insurance, long-term disability insurance, and generous paid time off.
