Optometrist Job Description

**About the Role**

As an Optometrist with the United States Air Force, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the visual health and well-being of our Airmen.

**Key Responsibilities**

* Examine and test individuals' eyes for visual acuity and eye diseases
* Provide primary eye care, including prescribing correctional lenses and diagnosing conditions related to the ocular system
* Work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care

**Requirements**

* Doctor of Optometry from an accredited four-year college of optometry
* Unrestricted state license to practice optometry utilizing therapeutic pharmacologic agents
* Completion of Officer Training School course
* Must be between the ages of 18 and have not reached your 42nd birthday
