Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurate data entry, custodianship of received payments, deposit preparation for the bank and archiving various types of documentation while ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of the information.

Responsibilities
- Accurately receive and register customers' payments and insurance commissions according to the unit's service level agreements.
- Maintain detailed records of all payments received, including electronic and physical payments. Ensure that all records are organized and easily accessible for future reference and audits.
- Gather information from insurance companies and/or agencies related to electronic payments.
- Ensure compliance with Popular's Electronic Recordkeeping Guideline when organizing and digitizing documents.
- Address any inquiries related to payments, including discrepancies, missing payments and other issues. Work with customers, insurance companies and internal departments to resolve any payment-related issues promptly.
- Prepare electronic and physical deposits for the bank on a timely basis.
- Process payments for customers who come in person or call over the phone in a professional manner.
- Follow procedures to ensure payments are recorded within the established time frame when referring unidentified credit notices.
- Utilize Excel tables to convert cases with many records and upload them through the Payment Management System Upload.

Requirements
- Two years of experience in customer services, administrative work experience or related experience.
- Proficiency in MS office specifically in Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing in English and Spanish.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle high volumes of data entry.
- Effective time management.
- Customer service skills.
