The Opportunity
This position is part of the Nutrition Division at Abbott, a leading global healthcare company that develops science-based nutrition products. Our team works to improve quality of life for people around the world, from helping babies and children grow, to keeping adult bodies strong and active.
Sales Representative Role
- Contribute to the long-term growth of Abbott Nutrition products in your territory by increasing awareness among Health Care Professionals on the importance of nutrition in improving quality of life.
- Gain new business and grow existing business through a multichannel, customer engagement strategy that builds HCP confidence in and loyalty to Abbott brand products.
- Effectively deliver consultative sales calls from the perspective of the HCP and their patients to expand HCP’s knowledge of nutritional interventions and the measurable benefits of Abbott brand products.
- Measure progress against customer and account objectives, per the account plan, and take action to ensure targets and KPIs are met.
- Act in alignment with compliance and regulatory expectations.
- Maintain deep, current knowledge about medical and nutritional science, the evolving healthcare landscape, and emerging digital trends to support selling and educating a broad and deep network of HCPs about Abbott products.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and deliver ‘Unique Value Proposition’ from the HCP’s perspective by continuously uncovering the needs and priorities of individual HCPs using multichannel touchpoints and engagement activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support patient education regarding nutrition and Abbott brands, to influence customer and patient choice of nutrition products, and deliver a consistent, end-to-end customer engagement experience.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing or Science.
- Strong understanding of the healthcare environment.
- Fully Bilingual (English writing & speaking).
- 0-3 years of successful sales experience and/or product promotion to HCPs.
- Skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Power Point and Word), intermediate.
- Successful history of setting and meeting high performance standards, independently establishing and following work plans.
- Experience in translating plans into actions and carry out those actions.
- Experience in utilizing selling skills, high level negotiating skills and leadership competencies. Ability to work under pressure. Energy, flexibility, decisiveness.
