Job Summary

The Senior Business Systems Analyst is a seasoned professional responsible for providing subject matter expertise in clinical research operations and informatics to support, integrate, and enhance information technology applications integral to the research mission of the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. This role requires a deep understanding of clinical trials management systems, electronic health records, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical expertise in clinical research trial office workflows and navigate complex clinical trial protocols
  • Develop and maintain formal training manuals and procedures per industry and federal guidance
  • Collaborate with end-user system training teams for implementation and updates
  • Ensure applications meet appropriate regulatory requirements, such as 21CFR 11
  • Control access, ensure privacy and security of sensitive information, and follow applicable laws and regulations
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in health science or advanced degree desirable
  • Four years of relevant clinical background in a clinical research environment
  • Subject matter expertise in clinical research trial office workflows and ability to navigate complex clinical trial protocols
  • Experience with clinical trials data requirements, regulatory affairs, and development of case report forms
  • Knowledge and experience with a clinical trials management system and electronic health records
Working Conditions

This position is a hybrid work position, requiring collaboration with multi-disciplinary entities across the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, medical center, and the OSU-CCC.
