Key Responsibilities- Oversee and manage a team of Library Custodians, providing guidance and training to ensure high standards of cleanliness and safety.
- Supervise janitorial service vendors, including building cleaning and carpet cleaning.
- Perform routine maintenance on custodial equipment and train staff on its use.
- Ensure facilities and grounds are maintained to a high standard, including moving furniture and equipment as needed.
- Provide support as backup for other Custodians and attend to emergencies when necessary.
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.
- Three years' supervisory experience and three years' experience as a custodian.
- Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, materials, and equipment.
- Valid Driver's License in good standing and a working vehicle.
- Ability to pass a drug screening and background check.
The Custodial Operations Manager will work in a fast-paced environment, frequently standing, walking, bending, and reaching. The role requires the ability to lift at least 50 pounds and work at floor level, in tight spaces, and climb a ladder. The work environment may be dusty or dirty, with possible exposure to disagreeable odors and hazardous conditions.
