CJP is seeking a dynamic and innovative leader to serve as the Director of Women's Philanthropy. This key role will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic plans to engage and inspire women to make a meaningful impact in the Jewish community.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement strategic plans to grow Women's Philanthropy, including measurement and tracking of progress against goals.
- Collaborate with the Women's Philanthropy team, Marketing and Events, and volunteer leaders to design and implement strategic tactics to drive towards noted goals.
- Manage and support the professional growth and development of a Development Officer.
- Manage programs, volunteer teams, and professionals in connection to WP's calendar of events and giving societies.
- Direct program implementation, including low-barrier-to-entry programming for women and other projects to support the goals of Philanthropic Connections or Women's Philanthropy as needed.
- Manage a development portfolio, including face-to-face solicitations and follow-up meetings as necessary.
- 5 years' experience working in Development or a related field.
- Experience with philanthropic programs.
- Proven ability to plan, implement, and measure strategies and programs.
- Proficient in Windows environment, including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to think strategically and develop trusting relationships.
- Ability to work as part of a high-functioning team.
- Ability to inspire and build support for new strategies and change management.
- Ability to lean into complex relationships.
- Ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders (colleagues, volunteers, donors, community organizations).
- Ability to prioritize tasks, balance multiple assignments, and meet deadlines.
- Creativity, resourcefulness, and capacity for innovation.
- High level of energy and flexibility.
- Desire and willingness to learn and grow.
- Ability to be flexible and adaptable to changes and shifting priorities.
Reports to the VP, Philanthropic Connections. Has one direct report.
Working Conditions:Hybrid Work Schedule: Tuesdays and Wednesdays in-office work is required; Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays remote work option applies.
Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods, much of which will be working at a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds.
Working occasionally on weekends and nights is required.
