This part-time position at University Hospitals requires a skilled and compassionate Paramedic to work a 24-hour week, day shift, with rotating weekends and holidays. The successful candidate will assist patients and healthcare providers in the Emergency Department, performing various tasks as directed by clinicians.
Key Responsibilities- Perform 12-lead EKGs, blood draws, and initiate Hep-locks as needed.
- Conduct point-of-care testing, aerosol treatments, and transport patients as required.
- Ensure daily completion of quality controls, defibrillator checks, and refrigerator checks.
- Perform ABGs and gain IV access as directed by orders.
- Prepare patients and the care environment for exams, specimen collection, and anticipate patient and provider needs.
- Active State of Ohio Paramedic certification.
- Graduated from a state-accredited paramedic program.
