We are seeking a highly skilled Child Development Specialist II to join our team at Montefiore Medical Center. As a key member of our Trauma Services team, you will be responsible for delivering evidence-based interventions to young children and their families. Your expertise in child development and family therapy will enable you to provide comprehensive assessments, treatment plans, and weekly therapy sessions. You will also collaborate with community agencies, schools, and medical facilities to ensure seamless care coordination and case management.
Key Responsibilities- Provide Group Attachment Based Intervention (GABI) to families with infants, toddlers, and preschool-age children
- Conduct clinical evaluations and treatment services for parents and caregivers
- Develop comprehensive family support services and liaise with Preventive case planners
- Participate in reflective supervision with colleagues and graduate externs
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care
- Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) or related field
- NYS license or eligibility to obtain license within 6 months
- Spanish speaking highly preferred
