About the Role:

MercyFirst is seeking a skilled Case Planner - Foster Care Specialist to join our team in Brooklyn, NY. As a key member of our Enhanced Family Foster Care program, you will work closely with children and youth in foster care, providing intensive support to help them achieve permanency.

  • Conduct regular casework sessions with clients and their families, ensuring compliance with Federal, State, and Local mandates.
  • Develop and implement individualized plans to address the unique needs of each child, promoting their overall well-being and stability.
  • Collaborate with foster parents, Socio-Therapists, and other stakeholders to provide a comprehensive support network for children in care.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need a Bachelor's degree in Social Work or a related field, as well as 1 year of experience in serving children and/or families. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, along with proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook.
